Floodgates was founded by John Battagline in 2024. Really, the origin story goes back to 2008 when John founded 24/7 Games. As a publisher himself, John wanted to focus on his passion, making video games. Like many independent content creators, John found it difficult to get the attention of reputable ad suppliers. He was relegated to the likes of Adsense or those Ad Networks that take 30 – 50% of the publisher’s revenue.

After years of grinding it out John gained enough traffic to get the attention of the reputable ad suppliers. Today, 24/7 Games works with the best of the best suppliers of ads across the internet. Along the way, John build his own header bidding tool so that he could plug those ad suppliers into the tool turning the back end of 24/7 Games into an auction house and nearly tripling his income.

John founded Floodgates with the intention of being a good guy for the small guy. So many content creators out there just want to be treated fairly and have a hands off monetization platform so they can focus on creating the content they are passionate about. We hope to be that company that gives people the ability to monetize and focus on their passion.
